your laser check printer for your business can
be a great way to enhance your check writing
capabilities.

Look For The Security Features
With so many really good printers out there, you
are limited in the security department if your
preprinted checks are stolen. While no system is
foolproof, some laser check printers definitely
come closer than others. Some of these features
include:
- Use of Generic Check Forms
By using a generic check form, a number of
systems software gives you all the options you
need for secure check writing. The systems have
a company logo in the program.
A special removable signature cartridge is
taken out of the computer when not in use. Some
laser check printers have a special box between
the computer and the printer that uses double
key and authorizes or denies all check printing.
The system checks all authorizations against
itself and other places within the network,
preventing any unauthorized use. It can also be
set for various limits on check size.
Copies of all checks printed can be made both
electronically and on paper. Of course, these
could be printed in another office, if desired.

While this may seem like a given point, it is

printer can do the job of making a check with
both clear print and fine graphics - as well as
clarity and lightness of any security marks.

tell if the check is real, or a forgery.

real check to look like it may be a poor

out a sample - don't just take the cartons word
for it.
